Since CR Labs first opened its doors in 1976, we’ve had a strong focus on supplying the highest quality prescription lenses to independent optometrists in Australia. In 1976, we were the first independent laboratory to manufacture plastic prescription lenses in an era when people wore only glass lenses. In 1988, CR Labs was the first to process and supply polycarbonate lenses. In 1990, we were the first independent lens manufacturer in Australia to apply double-sided hard coats. In 2005, we began producing the first freeform progressive and single vision lens designs.

Today, we still pride ourselves on bringing the newest and most innovative designs and manufacturing processes to the Australian market from our world-class manufacturing facility in Dandenong South. New equipment and products arrive frequently, and we continually invest in our people and the environment, putting us at the forefront of the industry.

We are proud to be the sole suppliers in Australia for AVULUX and SHAW lenses, which represent the pinnacle of lens technology. Additionally, our advanced technological offerings include the cutting-edge Australis VR and CR Tower, which enhance both the manufacturing process and the customer experience.
