OUR SERVICES - EYE TESTING
Thorough examinations are undertaken by appointment only, and require approximately 30 to 45 minutes where we test for the following:
- Eye health assessments including looking for Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Cataracts. Photographs of the back of the eye may be taken to help monitor changes in ocular health.
- Optical corrections for long and short sightedness, astigmatism and maturity related focusing issues
- Developmental visual assessments looking for Amblyopia (lazy eye)
- Binocular visual assessments looking at visual efficiency and comfort for reading, close work, classroom or office work
- Colour vision deficiencies
During that time we discuss your results, and recommend any preventative or required remedial care. Follow up consultations may be booked, or referrals written if deemed necessary.
We recommended having a routine eye examination every two years, no matter what your age. By developing a comprehensive history of your ocular health from an early age, we have a better chance of preventing vision loss in your later years.
